The Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) ranked 1st in Asia among global think tanks in the category of “International Economic Policy” for 5 consecutive years in the 2019 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report published by the Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) of the Lauder Institute at the University of Pennsylvania.
KIEP, selected as the 32nd out of all global institutes in the category of “Top Think Tanks Worldwide,” ranked 4th among Top International Economic Policy Think Tanks, up one place from last year, after the Bruegel in Belgium, the Brookings Institution in the U.S., and the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies in Austria. KIEP made it onto the list in 17 categories, the largest number among Korean research institutes, reaffirming itself as a global leading think tank. Moreover, KIEP showed a consistent rise over the past 5 years in areas such as “Top Think Tanks in China, India, Japan, and the Republic of Korea,” “Top Foreign Policy and International Affairs Think Tanks,” “Top International Development Policy Think Tanks,” “Best Think Tank Network,” and “Think Tank with the Best External Relations/Public Engagement Program.”
